Job Summary: Talent Software Services is in search of a Infectious Disease Scientist for a contract position in West Point, PA. The opportunity will be one year with a strong chance for a long-term extension.
Primary Responsibilities/Accountabilities:
We are seeking a contractor to join the Infectious Disease and Vaccines department in the vaccines group.
- The overarching goal of the group is to test pre-clinical vaccine candidates in animal models to help advance our viral vaccine programs.
- The contractor will be responsible for running ELISAs, viral plaque reduction assays, serum neutralization assays, generating viral stocks, managing internal, external shipments, sample inventory and overall laboratory support.
- BS/BA 6 years; Masters with 4years in a biological science related major.
- Maximum degree: PHD with 1 year of hands on expertise with required skill set is must.
- Required skills include Virological assay support, tissue/cell culture and ELISAs.
- GraphPad Prism, Electronic lab notebook
- Detail oriented
- Great work ethic
- Excellent communication skills.
- Critical thinking: able to evaluate results and troubleshoot issues.
