Duties
- Accurately and efficiently procure medications and supplies.
- Ensure effective inventory management.
- Assist with managing medication shortages.
- Process medication recalls and handle the return or destruction of pharmaceuticals.
- Perform duties of a Pharmacy Purchasing Technician as needed.
Required Skills & Experience
- Ability to effectively read, write, speak, and understand English.
- Detail-oriented with strong prioritization skills.
- Ability to work independently under general guidelines and procedures.
- Excellent communication and computer skills, including proficiency in word processing and spreadsheet applications.
- Capability to work collaboratively with others and independently with minimal supervision.
- No history of drug abuse or misuse, or proof of successful completion of a certified drug abuse rehabilitation program.
- May not perform duties requiring registration until registration is obtained.
- A minimum of two (2) years' experience in pharmacy purchasing and inventory control strongly preferred.
Required Education
- Bachelor's degree in business, management, accounting, or related field and two (2) years of pharmacy technician experience.
- OR Two-year college degree (healthcare or business preferred) and four (4) years of pharmacy technician experience.
- OR High school diploma and six (6) years of pharmacy technician experience.

Required Certifications & Licensure
- Current registration with the Board of Pharmacy in the state of employment where required by state regulation, or eligibility to obtain.
- National Pharmacy Technician Certification required.
