Requirements Analyst

Position Overview:

TALENT is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Requirements Analyst to join our client in Reston, VA. The successful candidate will play a critical role in bridging the gap between business needs and technical solutions, ensuring the delivery of high-quality products and services that align with organizational objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Requirement Elicitation & Documentation:
• Collaborate with business stakeholders, product owners, and technical teams to gather, analyze, and document functional and non-functional requirements.
• Develop clear, concise, and detailed requirements documentation such as user stories, process flows, use cases, and system specifications.
• Stakeholder Collaboration:
• Act as a liaison between business units and IT teams to ensure requirements are understood and effectively translated into technical solutions.
• Facilitate meetings, workshops, and interviews with stakeholders to clarify requirements and resolve ambiguities.
• Process Improvement & Analysis:
• Analyze current business processes and systems to identify areas for improvement, increased efficiency, and alignment with industry best practices.
• Provide recommendations for enhancing workflows, systems, and operations.
• Testing & Validation:
• Assist in the development of test plans and scenarios to ensure requirements are met.
• Participate in user acceptance testing (UAT) and validate that delivered solutions meet stakeholder expectations.
• Project Support:
• Support project management activities by providing estimates for requirements analysis and documentation efforts.
• Track and manage changes to requirements throughout the project lifecycle.
  
  

Qualifications:

Education:

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Experience as a Requirements Analyst, Business Analyst, or a related role.
• Demonstrated experience working on large-scale projects in the financial services or mortgage industry (preferred).
  
  

Skills:

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.
• Proficient in requirements elicitation techniques and tools such as JIRA, Confluence, or similar platforms.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to convey complex information to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Knowledge of SDLC methodologies, including Agile and Waterfall.
• Familiarity with business process modeling and data analysis tools is a plus.
  
  

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience working with financial systems, loan processing, or mortgage solutions.
• Certifications such as Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP) or PMI Professional in Business Analysis (PMI-PBA).
