Automation Engineer

Location : Kentwood, MI

Shift : day shift

Pay : $80K-$120K / year based on experience

Job Description :

This position will consist of porting the complete suite of machines from Beckhoff / Codesys over to the Rockwell / Allen-Bradley platform together with engineers from our global head-quarters in the Netherlands.

as well as the programming & commissioning of complete packaging lines.

Requirements :

  • Minimum of 5 years of Allen-Bradley PLC programming experience
  • Experience with industrial automation
  • Required PLC programming proficiency : Rockwell / Allen-Bradley Logix designer, Rockwell studio 5000, FactoryTalk view, Optix
  • Experience with Rockwell motion control
  • Proficient in reading electrical schematics and drawings
  • Proficient in industrial networking and Ethernet / IP
  • In possession of a passport
  • Willingness to travel up to 30% to customer sites / headquarters in the Netherlands

Skills that are consideration for an expediated hiring process :

  • Robot programming experience with Fanuc or Kuka
  • Experience in Codesys\Twincat with Structured text
  • Experience in the packaging automation field
  • Ability to lead and to take initiative
