What are the responsibilities and job description for the Facilities Maintenance position at Talent Strategy?
Shift: Days (roughly 8am-5pm)
Pay: $22-26/hr depending on experience
Job Responsibilities:
- Complete job orders at commercial properties throughout Kalamazoo and Portage
- Jobs will consist of basic electrical/hvac/plumbing/carpentry/etc. to include things like changing outlets/lights, patching a plumbing issue until contractor can service, fixing a door, etc.
- Any many specialty projects are sub-contracted out to a specialty contractor
- Candidates will be on an on-call schedule for one week a month (typically only requires about 5 extra hours that week with 1-2 calls)
Requirements:
- Basic general trades skills in hvac, plumbing, carpentry, and electrical
- Comfortable on a ladder and rooftops as needed
- Valid driver's license
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs
- Reliable individual who is capable of working independently with little supervision
