Position: HVAC Service Technician
Pay: $35/hour - $50/hour
Location: Statesville, NC
Responsibilities:
- Service, maintain, and repair commercial HVAC systems, including heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration units.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot HVAC system issues, developing effective solutions to resolve them.
- Perform routine maintenance to ensure HVAC systems operate safely and efficiently, including tasks such as cleaning coils, replacing filters, and lubricating motors.
- Install and program thermostats and other HVAC control systems.
- Maintain accurate records of all work performed, including materials used and time spent on each job.
- Communicate with customers to explain the work being performed, answer questions, and provide guidance on HVAC system operation and maintenance.
- Stay current with the latest technologies and industry developments related to HVAC systems.
- Follow all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe work environment.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent; an Associate's degree or certification in HVAC or a related field is preferred.
- Over 5 years of experience in commercial HVAC installation, maintenance, and repair.
- Strong understanding of HVAC systems, including their design, operation, and components.
- Knowledge of refrigeration systems and their operation.
- Ability to read and interpret technical schematics and diagrams.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to maintain accurate records.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
