Position Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented RN Quality Assurance Manager to lead our Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement (QAPI) program. This role ensures compliance with federal and District of Columbia regulations while driving improvements in clinical documentation, patient care quality, and outcomes. The RN Quality Assurance Manager collaborates with leadership to develop and implement policies, monitor clinical data, and enhance staff education programs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure clinical compliance with state and federal regulations, maintaining accurate documentation and care delivery.
- Review and validate OASIS data collection and ICD-10 coding for accuracy.
- Monitor and assess safety, risk management, infection control, and competency programs.
- Analyze performance improvement trends and patient care outcomes, providing data-driven reports.
- Lead staff education, mentorship, and performance evaluations to enhance clinical proficiency.
- Develop and implement training programs to ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
Qualifications:
- Graduate from an accredited nursing program; BSN preferred.
- Minimum 2 years of home care or long-term care experience.
- At least 2 years of Quality Assurance or Performance Improvement experience.
- OASIS proficiency with recent Medicare-certified home health experience.
- Active RN license in good standing in the District of Columbia.
- CPR certification required.
- Extensive knowledge of Medicare/Medicaid guidelines and OASIS protocol.
Skills & Competencies:
- Strong clinical judgment, critical thinking, and multi-tasking abilities.
- Expertise in quality assurance protocols and risk management.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and computer-based patient database systems.
- Ability to coordinate, evaluate, and drive performance improvement initiatives.
