Overview
The Pharmaceutical Research and Manufacturers of America (PhRMA) is seeking an internship candidate to support the Finance and Accounting department’s initiatives, activities and priorities.
The successful candidate will gain experience with a wide range of processes. Examples include annual financial statement audit preparation, corporate policy and procedure maintenance, the non-profit regulatory and legislative environment, and working with and building coalitions in the U.S. and abroad.
This is a paid position. This internship will start in May and the intern will work 37.5 hours per week for a 3-month term.
Responsibilities
The intern’s responsibilities may include:
$25 to $35 per hour based on the level of degree program.

Responsibilities
The intern’s responsibilities may include:
- Assisting in updating current year audit documentation and materials.
- Creating financial statement templates and audit checklists.
- Drafting and revising policy, procedures and internal controls documentation.
- Assisting with account reconciliations.
- Conducting internal pre-audit sample testing.
- Performing other duties as assigned.
- Current graduate student in Accounting or undergraduate student with at least two years of Accounting coursework completed, preferably with an interest in non-profits or government.
- Proficient with Microsoft Excel and Word.
- Exceptional attention to detail.
- Excellent written communication skills, with ability to summarize key discussion points and document process flows.
$25 to $35 per hour based on the level of degree program.
