Assistant Controller

Summary:

This position is critical to building and maintaining a high-performing accounting infrastructure for a rapidly growing organization. Responsibilities include overseeing all accounting functions, financial reporting, budget development, compliance, and process improvement. The role demands collaboration across teams, strong technical skills, and a proactive approach to managing complex financial operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage all accounting operations, including General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Fixed Assets, Payroll, and intercompany accounts.
• Ensure compliance with GAAP standards and regulatory requirements.
• Prepare accurate financial statements, balance sheet reconciliations, and account schedules.
• Oversee revenue recognition under ASC 606 and evaluate internal controls to recommend improvements.
• Collaborate on financial systems integration (e.g., QuickBooks to NetSuite).
• Manage tax filing coordination, audit activities, and external reporting requirements.
• Develop and monitor business performance metrics, supporting strategic financial planning.
• Engage in process improvement initiatives to streamline accounting procedures and enhance efficiency.
• Provide detailed analysis of Balance Sheet and Profit & Loss reports.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field
• Active CPA (Certified Public Accountant) License
• 7 years of professional accounting experience (corporate or public).
• Strong exposure to financial audits, tax filings, and revenue recognition standards.
• Experience with ERP systems (NetSuite, Oracle, SAP) and advanced Excel skills.
• Technical expertise in accounting and financial operations.
• Strong organizational and project management abilities.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Adaptable to a fast-paced environment, with an eye for process optimization and detail.
