Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Infrastructure Solutions Architect to support and manage the operational requirements of our Transportation Operations Center. This role requires a blend of technical skills, creativity, and multi-tasking to deliver excellent service and meet the department’s support objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Tier 1-3 Support: Respond to and resolve all break/fix requests associated with end-user resources.
- Customer Service: Provide exceptional support to customers, ensuring effective communication with users of varying technical expertise.
- Network Configuration: Configure and deploy new or replacement network equipment and workstations.
- Documentation: Maintain up-to-date project, architecture documentation, and detailed change history.
- Inventory Management: Track and update inventory and maintenance records.
- System Monitoring: Monitor system resources for server/network anomalies and ensure system availability.
- Connection Resolution: Resolve connection issues between users and system resources.
- Cybersecurity Support: Contribute to efforts that enhance cybersecurity controls, defenses, and threat mitigation.
- Time and Resource Management: Effectively manage constraints to meet operational demands.
- Provisioning & Configuration: Install and configure hardware, peripherals, network equipment, and software in accordance with standards.
- System Monitoring: Perform daily system checks, reviewing logs, and verifying scheduled job completions.
- Security Monitoring: Regularly conduct security checks to identify potential intrusions and mitigate threats.
- Backup Operations: Manage daily backup procedures, file archiving, and purging as needed.
- Account Management: Create, modify, and delete user accounts per request.
- Issue Resolution: Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve hardware or software failures, coordinating with relevant teams when necessary.
- System Upgrades: Apply OS patches, software upgrades, and configure new services as required.
- Capacity Planning: Provide performance reports to support ongoing capacity and performance planning.
- Hardware Optimization: Perform performance tuning, upgrades, and resource optimization, including CPU, memory, and disk partition configurations.
- 5-7 years of experience in infrastructure administration, network equipment deployment, and support.
- Expertise in provisioning, installation, and configuration of hardware and software systems.
- Proven ability to troubleshoot, resolve issues, and perform daily system monitoring and backup operations.
- Strong understanding of cybersecurity measures and practices.
- Experience with network resource optimization and system performance tuning.
