Job Description
Purpose of the Position: Seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Scheduling Coordinator to join Corning's Operations team as a contingent worker. The Scheduling Coordinator will play a crucial role in managing and optimizing scheduling processes to ensure seamless operations across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
Efficiently handle and process employee time off requests, ensuring adherence to company policies and fair distribution of time off.
Monitor and implement schedule changes as needed, coordinating with relevant
Accurately track and document employee absences, maintaining comprehensive records for reporting and payroll purposes.
Identify and advertise available overtime slots, working closely with team members to ensure all shifts are adequately covered.
Prepare and distribute employee schedules in a timely and organized manner, ensuring all staff members have access to up-to-date scheduling information.
Until the time keeping system is deployed across the plant, collaborate with the team to develop and implement an efficient system for managing time-off requests, improving the overall scheduling process.
Assist in resolving scheduling conflicts and issues as they arise.
Generate and distribute reports related to scheduling activities and performance.
Qualifications
Bachelors degree preferred, Associates degree required
1-2 Years Of Experience In a Scheduling Role, Preferred.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, with the ability to create and manipulate spreadsheets and data.
Strong communication skills, capable of effectively conveying information and responding to inquiries.
Excellent organizational skills, with a keen attention to detail and the ability to multitask.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
Experience in scheduling or administrative roles is preferred but not required.
Must be able to work a 2-3-2-day shift schedule (works alternating weekends).
