This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both home and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office three days a week, Monday (Sunday in some countries where Sunday is the start of the week) and Wednesdays. Wednesdays are designated as in-office collaboration days. The third day in the office will be decided based on team needs and determined in partnership with senior leadership.
Job Description
The Client’s People (HR) Team is looking for an experienced Workforce Planner to support a large global function. This role drives headcount management (open positions and the expense there associated), and analytics, a key focus area for the company. The goal is to enable the organization to be nimble and execute on its priorities through effective resource management (optimal resource allocation against current priorities, understanding and getting ahead of future needs, managing internal employees transitions into / out of the organization etc.), while at the same time ensuring appropriate governance. This role will have close direct interaction with key business leaders, both Functional and Regional leadership, and will partner with the supporting cross-functional teams including Finance, People Business Partners and Talent Acquisition. The Director must have the skills to influence at an executive level, the ability to articulate end-to-end workforce plans while navigating continuous changes, and multi-task with a strategic and tactical mindset.
Roles and Responsibilities :
Create the vision for and lead development of a systematic and disciplined workforce planning and prioritization process, using a forward-thinking mindset.
Accountable for strategizing, planning, and executing initiatives related to global headcount growth.
Be a key partner to Functional Leadership to develop and manage global workforce plan (FTEs contingent roles) based on business and resource needs.
Lead regular strategic plan reviews and reporting conversations with executive WF Plan owners, partnering with hiring managers, business leaders, finance, and people business partners to drive in-budget / on-target execution.
Identify and execute process improvements to streamline and simplify position management for participants (such as hiring managers, Finance, People team) and stakeholders (i.e., business leaders)
Drive resolution and / or mitigation of current and anticipated workforce challenges, analyzing and identifying critical workforce requirements necessary to execute strategic business plans.
Analyze workforce plan, in partnership with people analytics team, Finance, and People Business Partners as necessary, to report progress against broader organizational goals (I&D goals and targets, mix by level, location etc.), and to provide a view on future workforce composition and structure.
Continuously lead and engage Business Leaders, Finance and Talent Acquisition on Position Prioritization before requisition creation.
Drive processes for business to make plan adjustments (AOP, WPIC engagement, additions, in-budget reallocations etc.)
Run day-to-day position management processes (workday initiation, changes, approvals, compliance etc.)
Ensure regional / functional interlock on workforce plan approvals in a matrixed environment
Basic Qualifications
- 5-7 (or more) years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or at least 3-5 years of work experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters / MBA / JD / MD) or at least 3 years of work experience with a PhD
