What are the responsibilities and job description for the Accounts Payable Specialist position at TalentConnect?
Our client, a large manufacturing company in Wilkes-Barre, PA is seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist to join their team.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Participates in the daily Accounts Payable function which includes verifying invoices and matching to appropriate Purchase Orders.
- Follows AP systems, procedures, and policies to ensure adherence to company guidelines.
- Collaborates with senior management to ensure monthly closing of financial records and posting of month end information.
- Communicates with vendors via telephone and/or email to resolve billing issues.
- Works with purchasing department to resolve issues related to invoices and/or purchase order approvals.
- Compiles reports and prepares spreadsheets as required by management.
- Works on special projects as necessary.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- AS400 experience preferred.
- Accounts Payable experience required.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to prioritize and multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality.
- AA/AS in Business with an emphasis in Accounting preferred
The compensation for this position ranges from $70,000.00 - $90,000.00. Actual compensation will be dependent upon the specific role, office location as well as the individual’s qualifications, experience, skills and certifications.
