TalentFish is seeking a midlevel Business Configuration Analyst PM/BA for a remote contract role with potential for future hire! This role is open due to company growth and requires Business Analyst, Project Management and Technical skills. The BCA will report to the Manager of IT PMO. Ideal candidates will have experience in Agile environments with two of the following products: Gimmal, Informatica, OpenText SharePoint, Salesforce, Fluxx or Workday. Working as a technical BA doing configuration on software implementations.
What You Bring to the Role. (Ideal Experience)
- A bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a related field is required for this role.
- Understanding of policy and application of policies to Information Technology activities.
- A minimum 5 years of professional IT experience; three to five years of Business Systems Analysis, Application Configuration, Agile Scrum, and/or Project Management or coordination experience.
- Experience in IT with Application Configuration, SaaS Application Implementation, Agile Scrum, or Quality Assurance. In this role you will bring experience configuring SharePoint and other systems, you will be acting as a technical BCA.
- Knowledge of Grant making (e.g. Fluxx, Grantmaker), CMS (e.g. SharePoint), HR/Finance Systems (e.g. Workday), and CRM (e.g. Salesforce) applications, the products capabilities and experience with SharePoint Administration and experience doing light configuration on other systems.
- Candidates who have experience with structured data management tools such as Gimmal, Informatica, OpenText, Microsoft are preferred – in this role you will work to support the selection of vendors and tools and ideally will be able to provide some configuration support as well as functional support of the process.
- Experience with Business Intelligence report design, Cloud/SaaS environment, Integrations, and website design and development preferred.
- Experience with Human-Centered Design Techniques preferred.
- Experience collaborating with all levels of users to understand their environment and the impact of system changes.
- Able to apply principles, practices, and procedures and complete moderately complex assignments with knowledge of Business Systems Analysis.
- What You Will Do
- The Business Configuration Analyst (BCA) will be responsible for building trust and forming positive relationships with project teams, stakeholders and vendors.
- The BCA translates requirements into use cases, stories, workflows, specifications, designs, configuring applications and solutions.
- You will work with team members, suppliers, consultants, and software vendors to provide a global set of solutions for the organization.
- Working in an Agile environment, the BCA works with product owners, scrum master, vendor PM, support/training leads, and tech lead on communication, training, and launch planning to ensure positive user experience and successful adoption of new services.
- The BCA acts as a liaison for end users and will document and provide coaching/training for various projects and service implementations.
- You will run project meetings, document risks, issues, key decisions, and action items.
- Role and Responsibilities:
- Work with business partners to elicit requirements that capture business needs.
- Writes user stories and works with the Product Owner to ensure that high-value features are delivered. Perform applicable system(s) configuration that meets business requirements.
- Promotes and follows the process to achieve strategic objectives. Provides change management for solution implementations including the creation of communications and change management plans, and tracking risks, issues, key decisions, and action items.
- Perform data management analysis for clean-up, migration, and report building to support business needs.
- Manage ongoing relationships with key stakeholders to elicit feedback and provide transparency in IT delivery.
- Coordinates product delivery by participating in design reviews and demos to communicate systems designs and validate proposed solutions.
- Engage with subject matter experts to incorporate usability and user interface needs when designing systems.
- Works with vendors to define statements of work, manages relationships, and monitors vendor deliverables to ensure quality and a positive business outcome.
- Understands and recognizes obstacles to achieving business results and ensures that the appropriate mitigating actions are being taken to resolve any impediments.
- Develop test plans, test cases, and test scripts to validate the performance of all functions.
- Conduct effective unit, integration, system, and end-user acceptance testing through test script execution, tracking issues, and documenting all outcomes.
- Creates and updates training materials including user guides, workflows, and self-service training; leads training delivery.
- Act as tier 2 or 3 support for assigned applications.
Compensation Information
The expected rate range for this position is $45-65/hr on experience and qualifications. This role also qualifies comprehensive benefits such as health insurance, 401(k), and paid time off.
