About the Company: TalentFish is casting a line for a Senior Network & Infrastructure Engineer. This is a Direct Hire role in the Northwest Suburbs of Illinois. TalentFish is seeking a Network & Infrastructure Engineer for our global, premier client! This role is responsible for managing and supporting IT infrastructure, including Windows servers, virtual environments, networking, security, and cloud solutions. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience across system administration, security operations, and business continuity planning.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience across system administration, security operations, and business continuity planning.
Responsibilities:
- Administer Windows Server, Active Directory, and Microsoft 365.
- Manage virtual server environments (VMware, Hyper-V, KVM).
- Oversee email systems, data backup solutions, and endpoint detection response (EDR) tools.
- Configure and maintain firewalls (Checkpoint and Cisco ASA preferred).
- Support multifactor authentication (MFA), SIEM, and SOC operations.
- Conduct security awareness training and write PowerShell scripts.
- Assist with disaster recovery (DR) planning, testing, and business continuity initiatives.
- Collaborate with third-party/managed service providers for IT functions.
Qualifications: Education details
Required Skills:
- 3-5 years of experience in Windows Server administration, networking, and security.
- Strong expertise in WAN (Cisco routers), LAN (Cisco switches), and wireless LAN technologies.
- Experience managing VPNs (SSL remote VPN, IPSec site-site VPN) and cloud infrastructure (Oracle Cloud preferred).
- 2-3 years of phone system administration (Cisco Call Manager preferred).
- Familiarity with network monitoring solutions and firewall management.
Preferred Skills:
Pay range and compensation package: The expected salary range for this position is $100,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications. This role also qualifies for comprehensive benefits such as health insurance, 401(k) with company match, and paid time off. TalentFish is committed to pay transparency and equal opportunity.
