- Ensure accuracy in coding for outpatient and inpatient surgeries and other medical services
- Maintain compliance with coding standards and regulations
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to resolve coding discrepancies and improve processes
- Successful completion of required coding courses within one year of hire
- Minimum experience in the medical field, medical records, or healthcare coding
- Coding certification awarded by a recognized body within three years of hire
- Educational qualifications must be from an accredited institution
- Must comply with federal program participation requirements
- Associate degree in Medical Billing and Coding, Health Information Management, or related field
- Experience in physician/professional surgical coding
- Coding certification at the time of hire
