Talent Logistix is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Construction to lead plumbing construction projects from inception to completion. This is a long term direct hire role for a local Plumbing company in the Indianapolis area. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in construction management, project management, and civil engineering principles. This role requires exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while ensuring compliance with safety regulations and quality standards.
Salary: $100,000 -$120,000 DOE
Location: Indianapolis, IN
Schedule: Monday- Friday , overtime as needed
Duties
- Oversee all phases of construction projects, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget.
- Develop and manage project schedules, budgets, and contracts.
- Collaborate with architects, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure project specifications are met.
- Review and interpret blueprints and schematics to guide construction efforts.
- Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress, address issues, and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
- Implement effective time management strategies to optimize workflow on construction sites.
- Facilitate communication between stakeholders including clients, contractors, and team members.
- Provide leadership and mentorship to project managers and construction teams.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience in construction management with a strong understanding of project management principles.
- Proficient in blueprint reading and interpretation of schematics.
- Experience with Viewpoint/Vista or similar project management software is preferred.
- Strong time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Excellent communication skills for collaboration with diverse teams.
- Knowledge of contract negotiation and administration processes.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
