About Company / Opportunity : We are an established and growing Real Estate Investment and Management Company that is needs assistant with issues related to the acquisition, development and management of real estate. If you have 5 years of real estate transaction law and have what it takes to lead an in-house legal team, than this may be the perfect opportunity for you.
Responsibilities : In this role, you will :
- Assist with various real estate transactions, including acquisitions, development, dispositions, and financing.
- Be responsible for drafting, reviewing / revising and negotiating a variety of commercial agreements, including joint venture agreements, purchase contracts, property management agreements, leases, construction contracts, and loan documents.
- Complete SEC filings
- Assist with Landlord-Tenant Issues
- Provide legal advice to various departments and help to identify and mitigate legal risks
- Oversee legal due diligence processes for real estate transactions, including title examinations, environmental assessments, and zoning reviews.
- Oversee any potential business litigation, including disputes with clients, partners, tenants, contractors, and other parties.
- Ensure real estate operations are in compliance with federal, state, and local laws and regulations.
- Develop company policies and ensure compliance
- Manage outside counsel and litigation.
