Job Description :
We are seeking a detail-oriented Discovery Clerk / Paralegal to join our legal team in Los Angeles, CA. This role is integral to ensuring the efficient handling of discovery processes in litigation cases. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational and communication skills, and experience in legal document management, particularly related to discovery responses.
Key Responsibilities :
- Review and respond to emails promptly, ensuring effective communication with the handling attorney on a daily basis.
- Review Defendant’s discovery requests and client documentation to ensure all relevant information is included.
- Prepare shells for Form Interrogatories, Special Interrogatories, Requests for Production of Documents, and Requests for Admissions.
- Contact clients by phone to gather essential information and documentation for discovery processes.
- Draft discovery responses and compile document production for submission.
- Amend and supplement discovery responses and document production as needed.
- Review and address Meet and Confer letters from opposing counsel.
- Serve five to six full discovery responses per person each week.
- Bill activities on a daily basis and BCC case management system with all electronic correspondence.
