Overview
Talento HC is actively partnered with a lifestyle company seeking a results-driven Business Development Manager to lead sales growth and relationship management in the Southwest territory (AZ, NM, CO, UT). This role focuses on driving revenue by building and strengthening partnerships with travel advisors, agencies, wholesalers, and group organizers. Ideal candidates have a background in travel or luxury hospitality sales, with proven success managing a territory and exceeding revenue goals.
The role involves territory-based travel, sales presentations, trade show attendance, and hands-on account management. The Business Development Manager will serve as the face of the company to a diverse range of B2B clients across the region.
Responsibilities
- Builds and expands sales relationships across a defined region by engaging with travel agencies, advisors, consortia partners, wholesalers, and group organizers to generate business, including FIT, group bookings, and full or partial charters.
- Identifies and nurtures key accounts while continuously prospecting new business opportunities within the assigned Southwest territory (AZ, NM, CO, UT).
- Takes ownership of revenue growth within the region, consistently working toward and exceeding quarterly and annual sales targets.
- Represents the client at industry events, trade shows, networking opportunities, training seminars, and in-person or virtual product presentations to increase awareness and drive bookings.
- Serves as the go-to contact for travel professionals seeking support on pricing, programs, marketing materials, or operational questions. Develops lasting and meaningful relationships with travel agencies and advisors throughout the assigned region.
- Delivers responsive, professional service to all customer inquiries, ensuring a high-touch experience aligned with the client’s brand standards. Promotes product knowledge and sales activation through proactive outreach, regional education efforts, and incentive campaigns to motivate partners to prioritize the client’s offerings.
- Prepares strategic account plans and documents interactions with clients using internal CRM tools and reporting systems.
- Applies sound negotiation strategies to secure new contracts and strengthen existing agreements.
- Collaborates cross-functionally with internal teams to ensure clients have everything needed for successful sales execution, including promotional materials, pricing updates, and support resources.
- Manages a consistent pipeline of outreach, following a structured call plan and prioritizing high-impact opportunities to boost profitability across the region.
- Educates partners on new product offerings, updates in the industry, and tools available to support their sales goals.
- Provides leadership with insights from the field, including competitor activity, customer trends, and recommendations for enhancing service or offerings.
- Adapts to shifting priorities and takes on additional responsibilities as assigned by leadership.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree (BA) from a four-year college or university or equivalent, or four to ten years of related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Extroverted, outgoing, friendly personality is a huge plus for this position
- Comfortable with public speaking & planning networking events
- Ability to travel up to 80% of the time, including occasional weekends
- Must complete an online aptitude test and an Employee Personality Profile as part of the application process
- Computer Skills: Microsoft Office Suite, Contact Management Systems, Reservation Software
- Certificates, licenses, and registrations required: Valid driver's license and acceptable motor vehicle record
Compensation: $75,000 - $90,000 base PTO & Benefits
