About the Role :
We are seeking an experienced Associate Attorney to join a highly regarded legal team in Seattle. This role is ideal for candidates with a solid background in civil litigation, particularly in one or more of the following practice areas
General Litigation Defence
Land Use / Environmental Law
Transportation / Trucking Defence
Employment Defence
Key Responsibilities :
Draft, review, and revise legal documents while advising clients on their legal rights.
Conduct research, gather evidence, and develop strategies for litigation or defence.
Represent clients in court and administrative settings, interpreting laws and regulations to manage legal proceedings.
Collaborate with experts to prepare for depositions and trials.
Prepare and defend client witnesses during depositions and draft legal responses.
Maintain a minimum billing expectation of 1,800 hours annually while managing litigation activities, including hearings, depositions, mediations, and trials.
Qualifications :
Juris Doctor (JD) degree with at least 4 years of legal or private practice experience.
Active license to practice law in Washington State (additional licenses in Oregon and / or Idaho are a plus).
Strong written and oral communication skills, with the ability to explain complex legal concepts clearly.
Excellent analytical, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
Proven track record of meeting annual billing expectations.
Compensation and Benefits :
Salary Range : $140,000 - $165,000 (commensurate with experience, skill level, and ability to fulfill the role's responsibilities).
Benefits Package : Includes medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short and long-term disability, 401K, paid time off, and holiday pay.
Working Conditions :
Partial remote flexibility, with in-office requirements based on client needs.
Travel may be required for court appearances, depositions, mediations, and client meetings.
Office-based tasks may include extended periods of computer use and occasional lifting of files / boxes up to 20 pounds.
