Position Details
They are seeking a motivated Microsoft 365 Integration Intern to join their team for a summer internship. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Microsoft 365 applications, automation, and business process optimization. This internship offers the opportunity to work alongside experienced professionals on real-world projects that impact government operations. They leverage Microsoft 365 solutions to drive digital transformation, improve operational efficiency, and enhance collaboration for their clients.
*This is a hybrid position based in Leesburg, VA. From mid-May to mid-August, interns will be required to work onsite 2 days a week at the Leesburg, VA office. Limited hours may be available between the date of hire and the start of the summer session for interested and readily available candidates*
Key Responsibilities
- Provides technical support for software, hardware, and IT systems used across the company.
- Assist in Microsoft 365 (MS 365) application integration, optimizing SharePoint, Teams, Power Automate, and Power BI to improve business workflows.
- Support data collection, analysis, and reporting to improve operational efficiency.
- Participate in MS 365 automation projects, such as workflow automation with Power Automate and creating dashboards in Power BI.
- Help document standard operating procedures (SOPs) and IT policies.
- Research and evaluate emerging technologies and best practices in government contracting IT solutions.
- Assist in IT helpdesk tasks, troubleshooting network and system issues.
- Support IT projects, including cloud migrations, automation, and system integrations.
- Work with business teams to identify process inefficiencies and recommend IT-driven improvements using MS 365 applications.
Requirements
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Basic understanding of IT support, data analysis, and cybersecurity principles.
- Proficiency in Microsoft 365 applications, including SharePoint, Teams, Power Automate, and Power BI
- Strong communication and documentation skills.
Education & Experience
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Information Systems, or a related field.
- Internship or professional experience is a plus.
- Microsoft 365, Power Platform, and Azure Solutions Architect Certification(s) are a plus
