Our client has an immediate opening for an experienced Program Analyst II to join their growing team supporting the Department of Energy’s State and Community Energy Programs.
This role can be hired in the greater DC area or in Golden, CO
This role is hybrid with the anticipation that this person may need to be onsite 5 days a week.
The salary range is from $70K-$95K (based on years of experience)
Responsibilities
The Program Analyst II (PAII) performs programmatic and project management support services to support the operation of a program office and senior management through business operations and analytical functions.
Manages existing and available data to optimize performance of programs and business functions.
Has working knowledge of the concepts for evaluating, recording, implementing, maintaining and enhancing programmatic support and control systems.
Assists in evaluating and identifying relevant business data; uses a variety of computer programs to compile information to ensure all applicable data is stored and available for use; gathers information that will be used by different
Programs to help draw conclusions that will assist with ways to determine changes to procedures or to improve business operations.
Assists with providing information in the form of reports, information guides, spreadsheets and other customer administrative documents and business tasks.
Is able to create presentations using visual depictions of data, graphs, and charts and is comfortable working independently.
Program Analyst II should :
Have good time management skills to meet deadlines, and good communication skills.
Work independently.
Have good analytical skills to effectively review information.
Have strong computer skills to be able to use a wide range of computer programs and software.
Be able to work with a diverse group of individuals within SCEP.
Requirements
U.S. citizenship
Bachelor's degree in business, accounting, or another applicable field
5 years of experience
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products – Excel is required
Able to work independently as well as part of a team
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Master’s degree (2 years of experience may be substituted with a MS degree)
Experience establishing and maintaining relationships with clients
Experience working with the DOE or other federal agencies
