Duties
- Assist clients with personal hygiene tasks such as bathing, grooming, and dressing.
- Administer medications as prescribed and ensure proper documentation.
- Provide companionship and engage clients in meaningful activities to promote mental stimulation.
- Support clients with mobility and transfers to ensure safety and comfort.
- Help with meal preparation and feeding when necessary.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing light housekeeping tasks.
- Drive clients to appointments or community activities as needed.
- Observe and report any changes in clients' conditions to the appropriate healthcare professionals.
Skills
- Proficient in medication administration and understanding of care protocols.
- Experience in home community care, senior care, or memory care settings is highly desirable.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build trusting relationships with clients.
- Ability to perform cleaning tasks to maintain a hygienic living space for clients.
- Experience working in nursing homes or group homes is a plus.
- Compassionate nature with a genuine desire to help others.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Job Types: Full-time, Contract
Pay: $12.96 - $16.44 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
