Engineering Intern, Paint Controls

Overview:

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Summer Intern to join our Manufacturing & Engineering Team and perform manufacturing related operations and continuous improvement tasks. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of Electrical Engineering with concentration in Control Systems and be able to work independently and collaboratively to ensure our systems are functioning efficiently. 

Responsibilities:

• Review system drawings and compare to field installation and document findings.
• Assist senior engineer or maintenance dept. with troubleshooting manufacturing equipment.
• Assist Controls Engineering with PLC related tasks as required.
• Change Autocad drawings for electrical systems to document field conditions.
• Perform system testing and ensure all components are functioning properly
• Develop and write testing scripts and test cases to ensure proper system functionality
• Document the system integration process, including detailed steps and procedures
• Assist senior engineers in analyzing test results and identifying areas for improvement
• Work with cross-functional teams to ensure all systems are integrated and functioning properly
• Assist with troubleshooting system issues and identifying solutions
• Communicate regularly with senior engineers and other team members to provide progress updates and receive feedback
• Participate in team meetings and contribute to team projects as needed
• Maintain accurate and detailed records of all testing and integration activities

• Field(s) of study: Electrical Engineering,
• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD Degree program at an accredited university. 
• Proof of enrollment in current or into next program (MS, PhD) 
• Rockwell PLC programming and systems
• Network (ethernet) troubleshooting and system design
• Ignition programming
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.

Compensation:

The compensation for this role is $34 - $48 Hourly
