FULL DESCRIPTION: The Senior Financial Accountant reports to the Controller and will support the treasury/operations & accounting department. The Senior Financial Accountant must have the ability to absorb concepts quickly, possess strong work ethic, have excellent organizational and communicational skills and be able to perform well independently and as part of a team.
The selected candidate will be responsible for:
- Assist the Controller with the day-to-day, monthly and year-end operations of the Accounting/ Finance Department.
- Monitor bank activity to ensure Borrowing Base calculations are submitted timely.
- Track all cash flow operations for weekly cash analysis reporting to CEO.
- Manage Balance Sheet schedules and create necessary journal entries to clear outstanding items.
- Provide daily financial reporting that is sent to senior staff.
- Review daily wire and R-ACH transactions for accuracy.
- Work closely and independently with banks and internal partners to complete treasury requests, resolve issues, and maintain bank accounts as required. Follow up on pending requests and ensure communication of status and resolution to partners.
- Other tasks as assigned.
The selected candidate will also possess:
- Monitor and collect data to assess accuracy and integrity; analyze data; ensure compliance with applicable standards (i.e. GAAP), rules, regulations and systems of internal control; interpret and evaluate results, prepare documentation; create financial reports and/or presentations.
- Knowledge of QuickBooks Accounting a plus
- Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize workload in order to meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Be able to demonstrate attention to details and good-record-keeping
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Power Point, especially Excel).
- Hands-on detail-oriented tasks.
- Team player and can collaborate with other teams in the organization.
- High level of interpersonal skills with demonstrated poise, tact and diplomacy
- Demonstrate a proficient level of professional skill and/or knowledge in accounting and keep current with developments and trends. Knowledge and ability to use applicable information technology and systems to meet work needs.
- Excellent communication skills, written and verbal, with the ability to clearly communicate issues to all levels of management.
Salary Range: $90k/yr
