Our services focus on urban redevelopment, site and land development, utility design and master planning, active transportation, streetscape and roadway improvements, and detailed survey services, including high-definition LIDAR scanning, aerial photography, subsurface utility engineering. We are seeking a Director of Marketing and Business Development to lead our marketing and business development initiatives, drive growth, expand our market presence, and cultivate lasting relationships within the AEC industry. Key Responsibilities
· Develop and execute a strategic business development plan to expand our presence in key markets.
· Build and maintain strong relationships with municipalities, private developers, utility companies, and other industry partners.
· Identify and pursue new project opportunities, including RFPs, design team collaborations, and direct award contracts.
· Collaborate with leadership and technical teams to develop winning proposals and presentations.
· Represent the company at industry conferences, networking events, and client meetings.
· Analyze market trends and competitor activity to refine our approach and identify emerging opportunities.
· Lead a small team to execute internal and external marketing initiatives.
· Manage and champion Talisman branding and standards.
Qualifications
· 10 years of experience in business development, sales, or client relations within the civil engineering, surveying, architectural, or construction industry.
· Proven success in identifying, pursuing, and winning public and private-sector contracts.
· Strong existing network with municipal agencies, developers, facility owners, and utility providers.
· Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to translate technical expertise into client-focused solutions
· Experience with RFP/proposal development and contract negotiations.
· Self-starter with a strategic mindset and ability to work independently
· Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field (preferred but not required)

Pay: $100,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
