What are the responsibilities and job description for the Accounting Specialist - General Accounting position at Tallahassee Memorial Healthcare?
Responsibilities
Responsible for various aspects of recording and reporting financial transactions. Performs various duties including, but not limited to: keypunching, auditing, researching, analyzing, reconciliations, payroll tasks and journal entry preparation required to produce timely and accurate accounting records. Assists in the preparation of special reports and financial statements.
Reports: Assistant Controller
Supervises: None
Qualifications
Required Education:
- Minimum: High School Diploma or Equivalent. Preferred: Post-secondary education to include two (2) college level accounting courses
- Behavioral Criteria: Additional Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Strong spreadsheet software experience
Required Experience:
Minimum: One (1) year experience. Preferred: One (1) to two (2) years of directly-related accounting experience.
