What are the responsibilities and job description for the Patient Intake Specialist - Marianna, FL position at Tallahassee Orthopedic Clinic?
Full-time position in our Marianna, Florida office location.
Duties include: greeting patients; verifying all patient demographics and insurance information; collecting co-pays, surgery prepays and any outstanding balances due from patients; balancing and batching all cash, checks, and credit card charges collected; preparing all documentation for visits including creating charts for new patients; scheduling follow-up appointments as needed.
Applicant must have basic knowledge of insurance plans and medical terminology; the ability to multi-task and perform as an effective team member, as well as independently, for optimal patient care. In addition, applicant must be able to prioritize, have effective communication skills and EXCEPTIONAL customer service skills.
Only those with relevant experience providing exceptional customer service need apply. Prior relevant experience in a medical office setting preferred.
*Travel to our regional office in Chipley, FL, is required as needed.
