OPS Talon Mascot
Tallahassee State College is excited to announce a part-time opening for the position of OPS Talon Mascot in the Student Life & Leadership Department. We’re looking for someone who shares our commitment to fostering a vibrant campus community.
What You’ll Do
The OPS Talon Mascot will be responsible for, but not limited to, attending sporting, campus, and community events in costume to entertain fans of all ages, be an uplifting presence to the athletes and students, and serve as a spirited public representative for the College. The mascot may plan, develop, and implement dance routines, skits, and other activities in collaboration with the Marketing & Communication Department. The mascot must have the ability to bring the character to life to energize the spectators. Applicants must be able to safely fit into the costume:

Primary duties will include, but are not limited to:
- Be accountable to appearance schedules - arrive on time and remain for the duration of a shift.
- Demonstrate an outgoing performance personality with an ability to interact with spectators.
- Foster a fun and energetic atmosphere that gets fans excited.
- Represent the College respectfully and professionally.
- Maintain an independent and self-motivated style while remaining flexible and adaptable.
- Care for the mascot costume and props.
- Be athletic and physically fit to wear a costume and perform for the duration of events.
- Ability to work extended and irregular hours, including nights and weekends, both indoors and outdoors.
Work Schedule : Varies (Day, evenings, and weekends)
