Role
The Capillary and Gauge Combo Spooler Technician is responsible for assisting in the installation of Capillary/Gauge equipment and peripheral devices. Act as Tally’s representative to optimize, troubleshoot, implement solutions to customers’ Capillary & Down Hole Gauge systems, and will drive on behalf of the company.
Essential Functions

Pull, install, and repair ESP cable and band installations.

Perform full and detailed inspection of cable, including splices and repairs, and maintain full and accurate records of inspections.

Co-ordinate and ensure safe transportation of the equipment from the shop to the well site.

Conduct pre-job safety meetings with onsite personnel, and select topics as needed.

Work directly with customer to advise proper procedures to follow for successful installation/retrieval.

Oversee installation/retrieval of Capillary/Gauge equipment, while monitoring equipment and personnel on site for safe, efficient operation.

Recognize inefficient system performance, analyse potential problems, and recommend/implement solutions.

Timely and accurate completion of all associated paperwork, reports, records, and correspondence related to the job.

Effectively interpret and communicate instructions to other employees, contractors, and field representatives in a professional and respectful manner.

Promote field sales for Priority’s product and services by maintaining customer relationships, and by encouraging Capillary/Gauge classes for company personnel.

Ability to work independently and without supervision.

Actively maintain a positive and professional working relationship with all crew members and customers.

Perform other duties and activities assigned by supervisor within the physical constraints of the job.

Promote and strictly adhere to all Company HSE policies and practices.

Stop work authority to shut down worksite at any time due to safety concerns including, but not limited to improper use of tools/equipment, departures from procedures, or anything else in employee’s discretion.

Understand and comply with all Company or external quality standards relevant to position.

Conduct all business activities in accordance with the company code of conduct, policies and procedures and all applicable legal requirements.
Qualifications
Qualifications & Requirements
-
1 to 2 years ESP Spooling experience preferred.
-
Minimum of 2 years’ experience Capillary/Gauge equipment preferred in artificial lift, production, completions, or similar oilfield operation(s).

Experience in Microsoft Excel.

Demonstrated capacity to communicate and collaborate with diverse stakeholders (employees, clients and vendors) at multiple levels.
Work Environment & Physical Demands
-
This position requires working primarily in the field in all types of weather conditions. It requires working on well sites where surface areas are often muddy or slippery. It also requires working around heavy machinery, mechanical equipment with moving parts and electrical equipment as well as exposure to loud noises and contaminants. The employee is regularly required to operate vehicles on company business and drive long distances on company business.
