Air Export Coordinator Freight Forwarding & Logistics
Location : Atlanta, GA
Job Type : Full-time | In-office
Pay Range : $24 - $25 per hour
About Us
We are a freight forwarder providing transportation and logistics services across the U.S. We are seeking a detail-oriented Air Export Coordinator to manage export documentation, coordinate shipments, and ensure compliance with airline and customs regulations.
Key Responsibilities
Respond to customer inquiries regarding regulations, documentation, invoices, and shipping requirements.
Arrange cargo pick-up from customer warehouses or designated locations to company facilities.
Negotiate rates with shipping lines and trucking companies to optimize cost efficiency.
Coordinate trucking schedules and make necessary adjustments as needed.
Book cargo space with airline carriers and confirm shipment details.
Prepare and review export documentation, including the Bill of Lading, packing lists, invoices, and other customs-required paperwork.
Ensure all documentation is compliant with TSA, airline, and customs regulations.
Track and trace shipments, providing timely updates to customers and overseas offices.
Maintain customer records in compliance with TSA regulations.
Issue invoices and communicate billing details to customers and overseas agents.
Collaborate with internal teams, including sales and customer service, to meet customer needs. Qualifications
2-3 years of Air Export experience (Ocean export experience preferred).
Proficiency in CargoWise required.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
IAC Security Training (IACSSP) and STA (Security Threat Assessment) ID required per DHS-TSA regulations.
HAZMAT Certification (IATA or IMDG) preferred.
Fluent in English (reading, writing, and speaking).
Adaptable and flexible to changing priorities.
