What are the responsibilities and job description for the Entry Writer position at Talmo & Associates?
Transportation and Logistics service provider seeking Entry Writers to join the team. The ideal candidates will have knowledge of clearing goods through customs and facilitating the delivery.
Pay Range : $21-25hr DOE
Job type : Full-Time, in office
Schedule : Mon-Fri, 8am-5pm
Location : Monterey Park, CA
Essential Duties :
- Prepare documents for submittal to US Customs
- Review documents to check for accuracy and compliance
- Ensure shipments meet laws and regulations to facilitate import and export of goods
- Interface with customers on delivery and irregularities
- Manage daily tracking reports for open shipments
- Track and trace shipments and coordinate with the steamship lines, freight forwarders, etc
- Arrange with trucking companies for pick-up and delivery
- Handle accounting processes including the issuance of invoices and freight bill approval.
- Maintain relationships with carriers, freight forwarders, container freight stations and trucking companies.
- Additional duties as assigned.
