About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Manager to lead maintenance operations at our state-of-the-art manufacturing facility. This is a hands-on leadership role where you will be responsible for overseeing facility systems, supervising maintenance personnel, and ensuring the efficient and safe operation of all equipment and infrastructure. Responsibilities:
- Facility Operations Management: Ensure the day-to-day functionality of the facility, including electrical, mechanical, and building systems, while maintaining compliance with all safety and regulatory standards.
- Preventative Maintenance: Develop and implement a preventative maintenance program to minimize downtime and extend the lifespan of machinery and equipment.
- Project Coordination: Plan and oversee facility improvement projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within scope, and on budget.
- Contractor Oversight: Evaluate, hire, and supervise third-party contractors for specialized repairs, ensuring quality work and cost-effectiveness.
- Team Leadership: Manage and mentor maintenance personnel, fostering a culture of teamwork, safety, and accountability.
- Safety Compliance: Promote a strong safety culture by conducting routine inspections, maintaining safety records, and ensuring adherence to OSHA standards.
- Emergency Response: Act as the primary point of contact for addressing and resolving facility-related emergencies.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent (required); technical or trade certifications (e.g., HVAC, journeyman) are highly desirable.
- Proven experience in facility maintenance or industrial operations, with a preference for candidates with prior plant experience.
- Strong knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and HVAC systems.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills, with a focus on preventative maintenance and operational efficiency.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment and communicate effectively with personnel at all levels.
- Valid drivers license and access to reliable transportation.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certifications in HVAC systems, electrical systems, or related technical disciplines.
- Experience managing maintenance operations in a manufacturing or industrial facility.
- Familiarity with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems) for tracking work orders and maintenance schedules.
- Knowledge of safety standards and environmental regulations applicable to manufacturing facilities.
- Demonstrated ability to manage budgets and negotiate contracts with external vendors.
