About the Role
The Quality Manager is responsible for overseeing the quality department, ensuring compliance with quality management systems, and maintaining document control processes. This role involves driving continuous improvement initiatives, leading corrective action plans, and addressing internal and external quality concerns. The position requires strong leadership, problem-solving abilities, and expertise in quality standards and manufacturing processes.
Responsibilities:
- Evaluate and develop improved techniques for quality control and reliability.
- Support new product launches, including data collection, validation, APQP, and PPAP processes.
- Lead corrective action plan development and implementation.
- Manage internal and external quality concerns, including root cause analysis and preventive measures.
- Oversee and maintain quality and document control systems in compliance with ISO 9001:2015.
- Develop and implement systems to collect, maintain, and analyze quality data.
- Foster and promote a culture of continuous improvement and employee morale.
- Communicate effectively with all levels of personnel, both orally and in writing.
- Direct and support plant-wide quality improvement efforts.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in engineering, business, or a related field preferred.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in a manufacturing environment with a strong background in quality management.
- Expertise in quality management systems, including ISO 9001:2015 and IATF 16949.
- Certified Lead Auditor for ISO/IATF standards.
- Experience with APQP, PPAP, and launch activities.
- Strong problem-solving skills using formal methodologies such as 8D, 5-Why, and Fishbone analysis.
- Leadership and management experience, including training, development, and team coordination.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and statistical analysis software.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting abilities.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks effectively.
Desired Qualifications:
- Experience with aluminum extrusion manufacturing.
- CMM programming and operation experience, preferably with Calypso software.
- Supplier management experience.
- Knowledge of CMMS and quality systems.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Certified Internal Auditor credential.
This role is a key part of ensuring product quality, customer satisfaction, and continuous improvement within the organization.

Pay: $90,000.00 - $125,000.00 per year
