What are the responsibilities and job description for the Seasonal Groundskeeper position at Talona Ridge Luxury RV Resort?
The Seasonal Groundskeeper role will report directly to the Grounds Manager and be an integral part of the resort. This position will be directly responsible for care and upkeep of the resort property. This role needs to be a detail-oriented individual who is comfortable working in a team focused environment. This is a seasonal role for the months between March and October, with the possibility of year-round retention based on performance and the needs of the resort.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Prepare each site for guest arrival
- Routine and daily maintenance of guest sites as well as public areas of the resort
- Operation of mower, zero turn mower, golf cart, edger, weed eater, leaf blower, and other necessary equipment in safe manner
- Ability to stand, bend, kneel, walk and stoop for the entirety of the shift
- Ability to lift/push at least 50 pounds, with occasional push/pull up to 70 pounds
- Ability to work outside in any type of weather
- Must interact with guests in friendly manner
- Other duties as assigned
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience with landscape plant care
- Basic knowledge of commercial landscape care and weed control.
- Outstanding safety record
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Must be detail oriented and have strong time management skills
- Valid driver license
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work in a team-oriented environment
- Must be willing to work flexible hours including weekends, evenings and holidays as needed
