What are the responsibilities and job description for the Scrum Master position at Talution Group?
Our client is seeking an experienced Scrum Master to ensure the Scrum teams adhere to Agile and Scrum principles, practices, and values. They facilitate Scrum events, remove impediments, and coach the team to self-organize and continuously improve.
Key Responsibilities:
Facilitating Scrum Events:
- Lead and facilitate all Scrum ceremonies, including Sprint Planning, Daily Scrums, Sprint Reviews, and Sprint Retrospectives.
- Ensure these events are productive, time-boxed, and focused on achieving their objectives.
Removing Impediments:
- Identify and proactively remove obstacles that hinder the team's progress.
- Work with external stakeholders to resolve dependencies and address issues.
Coaching and Mentoring:
- Coach the team on Agile and Scrum principles, fostering a culture of self-organization and continuous improvement.
- Mentor the Product Owner on effective backlog management and value optimization.
- Guide the organization in adopting and implementing Agile practices.
Promoting Agile Principles:
- Ensure the team adheres to Agile values and principles, promoting collaboration, transparency, and adaptability.
- Foster a culture of open communication and feedback.
Ensuring Transparency:
- Maintain transparency regarding the team's progress, impediments, and overall status.
- Utilize Agile tools including Jira to visualize workflow and track progress.
Facilitating Communication:
- Act as a liaison between the Scrum team and stakeholders.
- Ensure clear and effective communication within the team and with external parties.
Supporting the Product Owner:
- Assist the Product Owner in maintaining and refining the product backlog.
- Help ensure the backlog is prioritized to maximize value delivery.
Driving Continuous Improvement:
- Facilitate retrospectives and encourage the team to identify and implement process improvements.
- Promote a culture of learning and adaptation.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Scrum Master in Agile environments.
- Strong understanding of Agile and Scrum principles, practices, and values.
- Excellent facilitation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to coach and mentor individuals and teams.
- Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution skills.
- Experience with Agile tools, including Jira.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CSM, PSM, SAFe) are highly desirable.

- Hybrid work schedule required; 3 days on site, 2 days work from home
