Our Forklift Operator is responsible for operating a forklift to maneuver totes of product between areas to ensure proper loading of product for shipments.
Specific Responsibilities:
- Coordinate with the Manager to ensure all product is 100% accounted for proper traceability.
- Supplying materials to production lines.
- Directly assist in ensuring all shipments to and from the plant are properly documented.
- Assist the Warehouse Supervisor when needed to complete maintenance tasks.
- Ensure product does not have any risk of becoming cross contaminated with other allergens prior to loading or unloading lots.
- Maintain Forklifts in clean and sanitary condition.
- Follow all shipping instructions required by each specific customer.
- Load trailers in accordance with all legal weight requirements.
- Report, document and correct any discrepancies to customer or regulatory guidelines.
- Operate all forklifts, man-lifts, and scissor-lifts in accordance with company safety policies.
- Know and follow all Good Manufacturing Practices and Standard Operating Procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Desired Background/Experience:
- 2 years forklift experience
- Able to lift 50 lbs.
- Able to stand on concrete for up to 10 hours.
- Experience in inventory and record keeping.
- High School Diploma or GED.
