What are the responsibilities and job description for the Patient Access Manager position at Tamarack Health Hayward Medical Center?
Responsibilities/Duties:
- Provide leadership and direction to implement standards and systems that enhance the patient experience, quality, consistency, efficiency, and support for the organization on a 24/7/365 basis.
- Must partner with other leaders of the team to develop strategic direction and goals for areas of responsibility to help Tamarack Health Hayward Medical Center achieve organization goals.
- Ensures that Tamarack Health Hayward Medical Center maintains compliance with relevant regulatory requirements, including but not limited to, Medicare Secondary Payer (MSP) guidelines, EMTALA, consents, etc.
- Provide exceptional patient experience for Tamarack Health Hayward Medical Center patients.
- Emphasizes the importance of a high level of patient satisfaction
- Ensures that patient activity, questions, and concerns/complaints are handled in a friendly and timely manner.
- Analyze process flows to increase the patient throughput with a focus on streamlining operations, removing redundancy, reducing wait times and bottlenecks.Directs the departments personnel activities
- Maintain high levels of accuracy and completeness in obtaining demographic, financial, scheduling, and reimbursement information and entering it correctly in the system
Education/Experience:
- 4-year degree in Business/Health Administration and/or equivalent preferred
- 5 years of registration experience preferred
- 2 years of registration experience required
- Experience with EPIC prelude and Cadence preferred
