Job Summary
The Retail Warehouse Manager is responsible for effective daily warehouse operations management including inventory, receiving, purchasing, ordering, package tracking, bill payment, cleanliness of warehouse, and transportation of product.
The Retail Warehouse Manager must provide a high level of management oversight, technical proficiency and operational/personnel support. The Warehouse Manager will actively and independently manage all aspects of the warehouse and staff to ensure a world-class work environment.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Responsible for product receiving, payment, and distribution control for all Tampa Bay Sports Retail operations.
- Ensure that established procedures for tracking and receiving inventory are maintained throughout venue and in point-of-sale software; report any deviation to management.
- Provide direction to part-time warehouse staff to ensure all warehouse tasks are completed daily.
- Responsible for ensuring that purchase order system is adhered to for all orders received at the loading dock; verify proper specification, size, quantity, etc. of goods received; supervise proper labeling and stocking of merchandise.
- Oversee and ensure that appropriate stocking levels are met for each event per front of house and Buyer requests.
- Ensure proper transfer process of product between areas of business, including follow-up documentation.
- Work with accounting to ensure daily/weekly/monthly AR/AP is completed in a timely manner and within the terms of vendor agreement, as well as communicate proficiently with outside vendors and internal stakeholders.
- Oversees & communicates with warehouse staff and management on the processing of all items from dock to shelf to store to ensure the process is timely, accurate, and in accordance with company standards
- Manages the data flow from ordering and receiving forms, and ensures data is correctly entered into the Retail Management System
- Responsible for full inventory two times a year and monthly cycle counts of all locations.
- Back up Manager on Duty for games/live events as needed.
- Other duties as assigned.
Supervisory & Management Responsibilities
- Indirectly supervise, coach, counsel, direct, train, and mentor part-time retail employees so that the department consistently meets Tampa Bay Sports Retail quality standards.
- Leads a team comprised of a supervisor warehouse staff that is responsible for all: Dock pick ups, Quality Assurance, Correct check in procedures, Product movement and Warehouse cleanliness
Game/Event Responsibilities
- Game/Event Night responsibilities: Yes
- Approximate number of events worked per year: 20
- Back up Manager on Duty as needed for events, watch parties, hockey games
- Gameday schedule includes keeping warehouse open and available until puck drop or start of event
Qualifications
- 3-5 years prior warehouse experience required
- 2-5 years of management experience preferred.
- Lifting, standing, squatting, reaching, climbing, sitting, pushing and pulling carts
- Willing and available to assist with event operations as needed
- Valid Driver’s License
- Point of Sale back-end experience preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy a must.
Working Conditions
- Ability to work efficiently and effectively in office and arena environment that can be exciting, loud and distracting
- This is an onsite role; flexibility to work a minority of time remotely.
- Ability to work extended hours including late nights, holidays, and weekends as needed
- Ability to lift/carry/move up to 50lbs
- Ability to work in cold/hot indoor and outdoor temperatures
- Ability to commute to various venues throughout the Greater Tampa Bay Area
- Ability to work in areas that can become crowded with equipment and/or people
- Ability to move comfortable throughout the arena with minimal accommodations
- Ability to stand on feet for long periods of time, walk long distances and climb stairs.
