What are the responsibilities and job description for the Office Assistant/Receptionist position at Tampa Language Center?
We are located on Busch Blvd and I-275 in Tampa, so please do not apply if you do not live reasonably close to this location.
We are looking for a multi-lingual or bi-lingual (English and Spanish a must) candidate to work as the office assistant at Tampa Language Center. We ask that the candidate have some experience working in a school setting or working with people from multiple cultures.
The job hours are:
Monday: 8:45AM-5:00PM (8 hours)
Tuesday: 8:45AM-5:00PM (8 hours) Occasionally 11:00AM -7:00PM
Wednesday: 8:45AM-5:00PM (8 hours)
Thursday: 8:45AM-5:00PM (8 hours)
Friday: 8:45AM-2:00PM (5 hours)
Saturday: 8:45AM-12:00PM (Once a Month) (3.25 hours)
The candidate must have great computer skills (Word and Excel are an absolute MUST). They must have EXCELLENT customer service skills as you will be assisting people who don't speak English from all over the world. Patience is a must. You must have great organization skills as well. If you love languages and cultures, this is an awesome job and our office staff and teachers are a very sweet group!
The person who gets this position will also be trained to become a designated school official, which will require in-house training. This is for dealing with student visas and the related paperwork.
Pay will start at $16/hour until fully trained and you can demonstrate skills as a DSO. Your pay will then be bumped to $18/hour with the possibility of increase after your first annual review.
