Job Summary
Job Summary: Job incumbent is responsible for assisting with program(s) needs. To include but not limited to assisting in administrative support for the family services department, answering phone calls, filing, assisting with digital files, reviewing applications for completeness.

Representative Duties: Under general supervision of the Work Assistance Program Director job incumbent will:
1. Provide direct support to the Workforce Support Administrative Assistance and the Child Care Assistance Administrative Assistance.
2. Provide front desk support as requested by the Family Service Administrative Support Manager.
3. File LIHEAP applications, mail notification letters to clients and vendors, and contact vendors regarding client payments for the Energy Assistance program.
4. Assist with filing, moving and destroying records that are being digitized into the current electronic record system.
5. Review new applications for completeness, document all missing items on quality check forms.

1. Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

2. Must be a current TANF recipient.
3. Must pass background check pursuant to the State of Alaska background check and federal Indian Child Protection and Family Violence Prevention Act requirements.

1. Ability to work and take direction from other staff members.
2. Strong oral, written, interpersonal, and cross-cultural communication skills.
3. Ability to process information.
4. Ability to multitask.

Physical demands: Position is sedentary with some walking and standing. Incumbents may periodically lift twenty-five pounds in case files and other supplies. Incumbent must be able to work accurately and efficiently in a busy and sometimes stressful environment.
Summation
Summation: This is a full-time temporary position; it is projected to last only up to 1000 hours. This job has high contact with people including but not limited to interdepartmental TCC staff and other outside agencies, which makes communication and interpersonal skills necessary. The incumbent must be able to prioritize all talks and meet reporting deadlines. The incumbent must be a self-motivated individual who is able to successfully work in a high public contact position.
