Job Summary: Contributes to a culture and program structure of safety, quality and continuous improvement at all times; performs supply chain functions and troubleshooting with limited supervision and a high level of customer service. Supports internal customers within a clinically integrated supply chain program that utilizes Lean and Lean Six Sigma methodologies in order that clinical and medical staff can focus on providing world class patient care to our beneficiaries. Under the direct supervision of Clinical Services Supply Chain Manager
1. Compliance with safety standards and equipment certification is required. Operates within established policies and procedures of TCC and CAIHC, and AAAHC accreditation. Serves as a lead supply chain technician for TCC Clinical Services by training Supply Trainee, Tech I and Tech II team members and making decisions and acting independently and without continuous direction. Any unusual, complex problems are referred to Clinical Services Supply Chain Manager.
2. Shows proficiency in all duties and skills of the Technician II, including shipping and receiving, and filling requisitions and orders.
3. Troubleshoots and reconciles discrepant materials, deliveries, units of measure, pricing, inventory counts and transactions. Adept with purchasing, receiving, and shipment documents, including bills of lading, invoices, payment, and shipping terms. Responsible for identifying the need for and processing RMA (Return Material Authorization).
4. Regularly reviews and sets par levels in warehouses and par rooms, utilizing historical, seasonal and real-time data from MMIS or ERP system data analysis, aided by Excel reporting, charts, graphs, and databases.
5. Works independently in value analysis, sourcing, and purchasing activities, having the ability to assist Tech II team members in these activities. Responsible for a purchasing card and for on-time submission or payment of expense reports and payment of invoices by interfacing with suppliers and Accounts Payable.
6. Responsible for accurate maintenance of item master and vendor master, daily and weekly reports.
7. Vendor and contract management.

Minimum Qualifications
1. Five (5) years experience as a TCC Supply Technician II or performing equivalent duties within another organization.
2. Six (6) months minimum experience training in and performing purchase of medical supplies.
3. Three (3) years minimum experience in healthcare supply management.
4. Demonstrated command of MMIS or ERP systems.
5. Preferred associate’s degree or related skills and experience.
6. Must maintain current, clean driver’s license and have the ability to operate a forklift.
7. Must pass background check pursuant to federal Indian Child Protection and Family Violence Prevention Act requirements and State of Alaska background check.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
1. Command of and adherence to safety procedures while performing material handling tasks including handling of med gasses and hazardous materials, acting as a team safety champion.
2. Shows mastery in all duties and skills of the Tech I and Tech II roles, including but not limited to courier, USPS mail, warehouse stocking, cycle counting, sourcing, Lean, MMIS system, shipping and receiving, and forklift duties.
3. Strong interpersonal communication and collaboration skills.
4. Effective independent decision-making, troubleshooting and problem solving skills. Reconciles inventory, purchasing, and receiving discrepancies; performs root cause analysis and seeks issue resolution.
5. Strong organizational, planning, and forecasting skills. Well-developed Lean skills and abilities supporting a culture and outcome of safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
Supervision: This position has no supervisory duties although may be intermittently required to act in a Lead capacity
Physical demands: Work requires sitting and standing for long periods of time, manual dexterity, standing, stooping, reaching, lifting and carrying of supplies, materials and equipment weighing up to 50 pounds. Movement of heavy items utilizing material handling equipment including but not limited to forklifts and pallet jacks is required. Work may be performed indoors or outdoors in climates varying between -40*F and 90*F. Occasional travel to rural clinics is required.
