About the Position : Perform a wide variety of supply technical duties in support of the automated stock record accounts. Assists the ammunition accountable officer in monitoring and reviewing the receipt, storage and issue of ammunition, explosives, missiles / rockets and residue Responsibilities Tracks the process and notes problems with authorization of individuals picking up or turning in ammunition; issue; receipt; storage; etc. Reviews the process and progress of and provides reports on recurring and special inventories. Utilizes automated systems (the Standard Army Ammunition System (SAAS) and Training Ammunition Management Information System (TAMIS) and the serial number item tracking of category I / II items from cradle to destruction. Provides technical advice on stock record control operations to coworkers, customers, related ammunition supply point (ASP) units and Army Field Support Battalion (AFSBn) supporting offices. Performs technical and clerical input to provide units and activities with return lists, scheduling and coordination of the reconciliation of all basic load and training ammunition issue documents for the installation. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone no substitution of education for experience is permitted. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas : Administration and Management Database Management Systems Oral Communication Planning and Evaluating Time in Grade Requirement : Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-06). You will be required to provide proof of U.S. Citizenship. One year trial / probationary period may be required. Direct deposit of pay is required.
