WHEN & WHERE YOU’LL WORK:
On-Site: This role is on-site 4 days a week at our Barnes Canyon facility due to the nature of the work involved.
Schedule: 2nd shift | 2:30 pm to 1:00 am PST (4x10) (Monday - Thursday)
A DAY IN THE LIFE:
Supervises the company's pump production including any of the following activities: production planning/coordination, shift scheduling, work-in- process tracking, material and labor variance controls, and manufacturing performance reporting. Participates in planning, reviewing, and implementing production procedures, documentation, and personnel requirements.
Supervisor I, Pump Production at Tandem are also responsible for:
- Supervises manufacturing personnel and processes to meet production requirements.
- Ensures that the designated area is in compliance with cGMP regulations, area documentation and standard operating procedures are accurate and up to date, and that a readiness for regulatory agency audits exists at all times.
- Evaluates pump area procedures and operations to ensure that efficient and effective methods are in place to promote the manufacturing of a quality product. Monitors and tracks production yields. Recommends changes where appropriate to correct production issues.
- Coordinates with Manufacturing Engineering on production issues to ensure immediate resolution.
- Promotes process improvements by developing and implementing programs to improve manufacturing output or quality.
- Ensures the effective use of material, equipment and personnel in producing quality products.
- Ensures department staff is properly trained, per designated training plan, before assuming job responsibilities.
- Ensures compliance with company policies, including Privacy/HIPAA, and other legal and regulatory requirements.
- Participates in the selection, performance appraisal, and promotion of department staff.
- Monitors daily operations and recommends changes to processes and procedures.
- Provides direction to employees and exercises judgment according to established policies, procedures, and management guidance.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, see, talk or hear. Use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls to perform repetitive motion job functions. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, and ability to adjust focus. Employee may occasionally lift and/or move up to 45 pounds. Wears personal protective equipment as required. May require shift work.
WHAT YOU’LL NEED:
- 5 years' experience in Instrumentation, Biomedical Industries, or Consumer Electronics.
- Associate's degree or equivalent combination of education and applicable job experience.
- Medical Device or Diagnostics manufacturing environment preferred.
- 2 years' experience in a lead or supervisory role.
- Experience with production and inventory control software (e.g. ERP).
- Proven experience in effectively leading an assembly team is required.
- Experienced with supervising assembly work:
- working under magnification;
- on components using plastic components, adhesives, and fixtures;
- operating manual, semi-auto and automated assembly equipment;
- Proficiency in Microsoft 365 suite required.
- Strong knowledge and application of principles outlined in Quality System Regulations (QSRs/GMPs).
- Proficient in the use of common assembly tooling.
- Able to effectively exchange or present factual information in both written and verbal communications.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:
The starting base pay range for this position is $63,800 to $79,600 annually. Base pay will vary based on job-related knowledge, skills, experience and may also fluctuate depending on candidate’s location and the overall job market. In addition to base pay, Tandem offers a competitive compensation package that includes bonus, equity, and a robust benefits package.
