A construction services company in Nevada is actively seeking an experienced professional to join their team as their new Controller. In this role, the Controller will be responsible for direct supervision of all accounting and financial functions for the company.
Responsibilities :
The Controller will :
- Manage the accounting department by maintaining accurate and timely financial management reports
- Supervise the Accounts Payable department and ensure timely and accurate processing of Accounts Payable and purchase orders
- Supervise the Payroll department and ensure timely and accurate processing of payroll related taxes and payroll withholding
- Work with CFO to develop accurate and timely work and to facilitate monthly reporting to executive management and the Board
- Assist in preparation of annual budget
- Review and record journal entries required to reflect monthly activity.
- Prepare documentation supporting the monthly close process and month-end balances
- Review monthly accounting close process including analytical review of the monthly operating results to ensure accurate accounting records are maintained
- Prepare monthly financial statements and year-to-date cash flow statements
- Perform cash projections to effectively manage cash balances and maximize the return on any excess cash balances
- Ensure accurate and timely production of all financial information
- Assist with acquisition activities, including developing financial models, due diligence reviews and integration activities
- Oversee the acquisition-related purchase and accounting adjustments
- Perform other duties, as needed
