A leading healthcare facility in Upstate New York is seeking a compassionate Oncology Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant (NP/PA) to join their expanding oncology team in Jefferson County. In this role, the NP/PA will provide comprehensive cancer care, including prevention, health promotion, management of acute and chronic illness, and education and support for patients and families.

Responsibilities:
The Oncology Nurse Practitioner / Physician Assistant (NP/PA):
- Assess patients' physical and psychological status through interviews, health histories, physical examinations, and diagnostic studies
- Conduct patient examinations and collect physical condition information
- Order medical equipment, supplies, and various diagnostic tests (e.g., lab tests, X-rays, CT scans)
- Develop treatment plans in collaboration with physicians, including disease diagnosis and appropriate care plans
- Provide patient care, including administering injections, immunizations, wound care, and prescribing medications and therapies under supervision
- Interpret and evaluate findings from diagnostic studies, ensuring therapeutic plans align with patients' ongoing care needs
- Document patient history, admission notes, care plans, progress notes, discharge notes, and follow-up letters
Qualifications:
- Current NYS Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant Certification
- Oncology experience and knowledge
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
Salary : $110,000 - $150,000
