A healthcare network in New York is currently seeking an experienced licensed Registered Nurse (RN) to join their Operating Room team in the Rockland County as their new Nurse Manager. In this role, the Nurse Manager (RN) - Operating Room will be responsible for providing clinical and administrative leadership for the Operating Room.
Responsibilities :
The Nurse Manager (RN)- Perioperative Services
Have 24-hour accountability for the management and long- term planning of the patient care area
Oversee the implementation of the nursing process
Provide staff development and enhancement of the quality of patient care specific to the age / development of the patient population and cost containment
Provides leadership, motivation and clinical expertise in the management
Perform other duties, as needed Qualifications :
2 years of experience in an Operating Room setting
Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
NYS Registered Nurse (RN) license
ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications
Previous experience in a Leadership and / or Supervisory role
Solid assessment, clinical, and documentation skills
Patient oriented
Great interpersonal skills
Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
Strong attention to detail
Highly organized Desired Skills :
Master's Degree in Nursing or Health related field
