A growing real estate agency in New Jersey is looking to fill an immediate need with the addition of a new Property Accountant to their growing team. In this role, the Property Accountant will be responsible for maintaining accurate financials for a portfolio of properties.
- This is a Hybrid opportunity requiring the qualified professional to work onsite at least 2 to 3 days a week.
Responsibilities :
The Senior Property Accountant will :
Maintain accounting records and perform monthly bank reconciliations
Enter, review, and post monthly Accruals
Support the Property and Asset Managers in review and preparation of monthly variance reports and billing reports
Process all accounts payable for accuracy of G / L codes applied by AP team
Monitor the Accounts Receivable process; monitor cash receipts, review and bill recurring charges and billing adjustments
Runs recurring monthly rental billing reports to review for accuracy is consistent with monthly budgets
Prepare CAM Reconciliations
Assist with ad hoc accounting projects, as needed Qualifications :
3 years of relevant Property Accounting experience
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or related field
Experience with Yardi software
Microsoft Excel proficient (V-lookups, Pivot tables and sum-ifs)
Solid analytical and mathematical skills
Great interpersonal skills
Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
Strong attention to detail
Highly organized
