An insurance organization in New Jersey is actively seeking an experience Tax Accountant to join their growing team. Reporting to the Tax Manager, the Tax Accountant will be responsible for focusing on a broad range of tax matters related to the corporation and partnership structures, including financial reporting, compliance, M&A activities, and non-income based taxes.
Responsibilities :
The Tax Accountant will :
Work with Tax Manager and external advisors to ensure the timely and accurate filing of federal and state corporate and partnership returns
Assist with annual K-1 reporting process for a 700 multi-member partnership
Oversee the consolidated financial statement reporting of income taxes and legal entity reporting in accordance with ASC 740
Oversee all aspects of Federal and State income tax filings
Proactively manage and maintain provision and compliance deadlines
Ensure compliance with tax accounting processes, controls, and maintain appropriate documentation
Monitor changes in tax legislation and regulations, and communicate the necessary recommendations to management
Conduct the Federal, Multistate, or Local tax technical research, as needed
Prepare sales and use tax returns and other non-income tax and its related payments
Assist with transfer pricing documentation and analysis for multi-legal entity org structure
Ensure appropriate documentation of processes are maintained
Perform other duties, as needed Qualifications :
3 years of relevant Tax experience
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Taxation, and / or a related field
Experience in a Public Accounting and / or Private industry
Microsoft Excel proficient
Solid analytical, mathematical, and research skills
Great interpersonal skills
Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
Strong attention to detail
Highly organized
